It would seem Brooke Valentine will be making an appearence at this years Harambee Festival in Dallas, Texas.
The event will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center starting tommorow morning at 9am and runs straight through to 7pm at night, local radio station K104 along and Buick, Pontiac and GMC will also be on hand and are listed as this years corporate sponsors!
“Harambee is one of the longest running festivities of its kind in the state of Texas,” said Billie Lusk, this years organizer.If you live in the area this may be the perfect time to go see Brooke Valentine perform, being that the event will be small compared to her usual concerts your more likely to get some face to face time and a signature!
I almost forgot to mention theirs a $10,000 door prize!

Rappers have sung about it, students have told stories about it and now Brooke Valentine will actually be doing it! Of course we’re talking about the Howard University homecoming party this weekend!
Brooke will be part of the festivities and will be singing as part of the most important afternoon shows titled “yardfest” which will be held on the main quad at noon! Surrounded by vendors, food booths and a number of activities Valentine will take the stage alongside Ludacris, Kelis, Talid Kweli and many many more!
What makes the event even better is admission is free whether your a student or not, just don’t be suckered into any local clubs offering “offical” after parties, the university claims they are not allowed to enter into contracts with any clubs.
What’s really great about this oppertunity is that virtually every big name promoter is trying to get their act on stage so the fact Brooke Valentine made it is even more important, no doubt she will get alot of publicity and the people who travel hundreds of miles will go home as converts.

Rumours are swirling that Brooke Valentine is finally putting a major effort to finish her latest album and get it on store shelves by Jan 2007.
We haven’t seen much material from her new album, the last teaser came from a song called “Dope Girl” which was collaborated with Pimp C, well I guess the single didn’t do as well as was expected and so they went and rethought the album thus we have 1 theory why it’s taking so long…

You may remember seeing Big Boi’s name attached to Brook Valentines debut single “Girlfight”, which I think most fans will agree was one of her best songs ever! Well now he is working with BubbaSparxxx on his new album Charm
Definately looking forward if he can do the same magic with Valentine’s career with Bubba
